We are looking for a Senior Software Verification Engineer to join our software Chief Engineer’s Office team. The goal of an Senior Software Verification Engineer at Wisk is to define software verification environment inline with software verification strategy, interact and work with and provide guidance to Integrated Product Team (IPT), perform review of software life cycle artifacts produced by various IPT to ensure they comply with standards and plans, create, review tool qualification plans and tool qualification data, identifying and defining common configuration settings for verification tools, considering various aircraft and ground system; required for testing on host as well as target, collecting software coverage data, generating traceability reports, verification reports; leading and attending software reviews with various certification authorities.

    • With that vision in mind, we are looking for a Sr. Software Verification Engineer who can take a systematic and disciplined approach in defining verification approach, identifying verification tools and environments, understand software verification scope, proactively work with software teams and provide guidance in performing software verification for aircraft systems.
    • To support software certification needs ensuring correctness and completeness of software verification data required for software reviews with certification authorities including tool qualification 
    • In this role, the candidate must be proactive, forward thinking and self-motivated with the ability to inspire and influence a team of like-minded engineers.

What you will do:

    • As part of the Chief Engineer’s Office organization, you will act as a Senior Software Verification Engineer focusing on verification and certification aspects for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
    • You will collaborate with SW teams, review software life cycle data including DO-178C, DO-331, provide guidance and ensure compliance with software plans and standards
    • You will define the requirements, configuration setting and guide in implementation of Hardware-Software Integration Testing, Software-Software Integration Testing, and Low Level Test Environments used for software verification
    • You will collaborate with SW teams in defining development, verification tools, tool qualification planning in compliance with DO-331 objectives, provide guidance and ensure compliance
    • You will author and collaborate on developing software certification plans (PSAC, SVP, etc), standards (Software Requirements, Modeling, and Code) and help build company process assets 
    • You will interact with Program teams at Wisk to keep the overall company vision and schedule aligned
    • You will mentor SW team members on software verification and certification aspects. 
    • You are familiar with DO-178C, DO-330, DO-331 certification
    • You are familiar with FAA certification experience

What you have done:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics discipline
    • 10+ years of hands on experience in embedded software verification for safety critical aircraft systems
    • You have experience in DO-178 B/C, DO-330, DO-331, working with multiple certification authorities (FAA, EASA, TC, etc) and clear understanding on requirements for SOI audits
    • You have experience with software verification coverage and analysis tools
    • You have experience in scripting languages such as Python
    • You have experience in developing, updating and reviewing software plans and standards
    • You have great interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), passionate, ability to learn and guide the team
    • You have proven success to work with geographically dispersed team

Desired:

    • SW Verification experience in the Matlab/Simulink Environment
    • Any knowledge of system verification and validation is a plus

Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $122,018 - $140,250 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
