As a Senior HR Generalist, you’ll join a collaborative and impactful two-person team that manages the full employee lifecycle and serves as a key partner to leadership. The team owns core responsibilities like benefits coordination, payroll, compliance, and employee relations while ensuring employees are supported and processes run smoothly.

What You'll Do:
- Partner with your teammate to oversee the full-cycle onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Administer and maintain HR systems, payroll processing, and benefit programs, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries on policies, benefits, and HR systems.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers related to benefits, insurance, and compliance.
- Partner with leadership and other internal teams on performance management, employee relations, and workforce planning.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, charitable giving, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Support annual review and compensation processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal policies and audits.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Provide backup support to the recruiting team as needed.
- Drive HR process improvements and contribute ideas to enhance the employee experience.
What We're Looking For:
- 5–8 years of HR experience, with strong generalist exposure.
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employment law, payroll, benefits administration, and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with an HRIS/payroll software system, including experience with ADP, Fidelity, Docu-Sign, and E-Verify.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Ability to work in our Chicago Loop office five days per week.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) a plus.

The base compensation range for this role is approximately $80,000 -$140,000 contingent on experience. Wolverine Trading's total compensation model includes base salary and an annual discretionary bonus.
