Who are we looking for:
 
The individual in this position will assist with scientific/engineering tasks for water resources and environmental remediation projects and gain the experience that will support application for professional licenses. Position responsibilities will include data collection, data management/tracking, interpretation, and reporting. Tasks would include a mix of field and office work. Field work would include conducting field investigations, drilling oversight, soil sampling, monitoring well and production well construction, well development, aquifer testing, instrumentation, groundwater sampling, well rehabilitation, well destruction, implementing pilot tests, remedial system construction oversight, and other related activities. Office work would include developing work plans, site-specific health and safety plans, analyzing data, website searches, GIS and other software programs, preparing technical reports, and preparing regulatory-required documents. The role would involve the selection, coordination, and management of subcontractors, cost estimating, and management of the scope, schedule, and budget for various project tasks. Report writing and interaction with project staff, clients, and regulatory agencies will also play an important role in the candidate’s success.
 
Candidate should be a self-starter with strong technical and writing skills and possess a desire for on-site fieldwork to support a wide range of science and engineering projects. Candidates must also have excellent verbal communication skills combined with leadership and mentorship ability, a positive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and within teams.

What will you need to succeed?

    • 1-3 years experience in the environmental consulting industry or California regulatory agency.
    • BS in hydrogeology, geology, civil/environmental engineering, environmental science, or related discipline, MS preferred.
    • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is a plus, but we will train.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
    • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of and experience implementing state and federal regulatory programs.
    • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and ArcGIS, and familiarity with database software.
$65,000 - $80,000 a year
Pay:
This position’s anticipated pay range is provided above; final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will be dependent on experience level as well as considering a % based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working. Geographic differentials are used to recognize and reflect cost of labor differences between geographic markets.

Annual Incentive Bonus Opportunity:
Eligible positions may receive an annual cash bonus based on the role’s organizational level, and is represented as a percentage range of eligible earnings.
