🚀 What’s the opportunity?
We are looking to bring on a staff account to our finance and business operations team! The staff accountant will be responsible for owning and improving our foundational accounting processes. We’re looking for an analytical, collaborative and process-driven accountant who is motivated by continuous improvement. You will report to the VP of Finance and Business Operations.
🔧 What will I be doing?
- Own end to end process of deal close out and invoicing
- Ensure all invoice data is accurately tracked in our systems to ensure accurate revenue recognition
- Own collections process and drive quick collection of invoices
- Own all revenue reporting, ensuring the business can pull metrics across all types of revenue (product, segment, price etc.)
- Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation as part of the close processes
- Perform contract reviews to verify subscription contracts have been accurately recorded
- Help with month-end, quarter-end and year-end audits to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Consolidate financial data from various IT systems into the GL and perform detailed reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completion of data transfers
- Collaborate effectively with outsources accounting firm
- Drive process improvement projects to streamline and automate manual workflows
💡 What skills do I need?
- 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Solid grasp of US GAAP and accounting for SaaS businesses
- Experience preparing the month end close package
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Experience collecting overdue invoices
- Ability to define, implement and manage the creation of new processes
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, change direction quickly and prioritize workload
- Startup experience preferred

This role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the US.

$80,000 - $90,000 a year
Compensation
WorkRamp is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills. This role's on-target earnings (OTE) range is $80,000- $90,000 annually.
Employees at WorkRamp may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus, commission, and stock grants. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee perks, and others. The full comp package designated for this role can be discussed with your Recruiter during the interview process.
