TEAM

Teammate Driving (POV BEV) team develops a lane keeping feature which is one of the most fundamental features of automated driving systems, and map information provision feature used in automated driving systems. The mission of Systems Engineer is to define system requirements/tests and to cross-functionally lead collaborators and Development teams in the end-to-end of the software development process to develop a valuable product. In addition, we are to implement these products into Toyota’s next-generation driver assistance systems “Toyota Safety Sense” and “Teammate”, to provide safer driving and more comfortable mobility to customers all over the world.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The following skills and experience are required.

・System Requirements and System Test definition for Map Application

　　　・Ability to consider needs for the system from the user’s perspective

　　　・Ability to build System concepts, requirements, tests

　　　・Knowledge of AD (Automated Driving)/ ADAS (Advanced driver assistance system) and understanding of the interaction of each technology

・Project Management

　　　・Excellent problem solving skills, hypothesis verification and project management skills

　　　・Documentation skills

　　　・Ability to plan to structure various pieces of information into a consistent plan

　　　・Interpersonal skills required for promoting development

　　　・Experience in Mass production development

RESPONSIBILITIES

Survey AD/ADAS market trends and propose Map system for AD/ADAS requirements based on the survey results
Align and associate between Map system and Application requirements and tests
Define and manage map application requirements
Plan and manage mid-long term map application development schedules
Promote problem management and solve in agile development
Facilitate communication and alignment among stakeholders such as customer and development teams

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 3 years experience in mass production development of automotive control system or Navigation system for car
experience in system requirements definition and system test definition
Business level Japanese (JLPTN2 equivalent or above)
Experience with mass production system development and operation
Experience with system architecture design
AD/ADAS development experience and/or car navigation system development experience
Experience coordinating and negotiating with multiple stakeholders

NICE TO HAVES

Knowledge and implementation experience of embedded or cloud software
Experience with agile software management tools
Knowledge/experience with in-vehicle communications (CAN/Ethernet) design
Knowledge/experience with database handling including migration
Experience with FMEA/FTA
Business level English
