TEAM
Toyota Woven City is a fully connected ecosystem powered by hydrogen fuel cells to be built at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. The city has three fundamental concepts, which are 'ever evolving', 'living laboratory', and 'human-centric'. The city will realize those concepts by incorporating various types of cutting edge technologies. Mobility is definitely one of the most important themes for the city.
Our team has several services using e-Palette with autonomous driving capability. Some members develop a fundamental software architecture for the services cooperating with the third party developers and Toyota Motor Corporation which have state-of-the-art technologies. Others build the business based on the technologies. Our team has to manage both technical and business feasibility in order to realize the city's concept above.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a business development manager who has a rich experience of 3rd party collaborations. The person is expected to design the relationship with the collaborators, and to establish the new business and services. The person will work in agile while tightly collaborating with tech side members in our team as well as in the whole company. The service using e-Palette is one of the core transportation services in the city. A high level of ownership and accountability is crucial.
You will report to the lead of function and the workplace is hybrid (remote and office).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop the new autonomous driving service, while executing on-site PoC with 3rd party service providers.
- Create the documents which include the requirements and milestones for the tech teams. You have to understand deeply the partner needs and to translate it for the tech team.
- Create the detailed operation in order to launch the service.
- Manage the milestones depending on the progress of the project. This role is usually expected in Project manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years experience of business development and 3rd party collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels within the company, external partners and customers. Display strong verbal and written presentation skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way and to tailor key messages and presentation style to multiple audiences
- A natural collaborator, with the ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization and promote ideas persuasively
- Proficiency in business level English

- Experience of B2B sales and develop the customer relationship.
- Experiences in implementing smart city initiatives
- Experiences in software development
- Proficiency in conversational level Japanese Language
