TEAM
The Arene Business & Strategy (ABS) team is responsible for driving the global understanding, positioning, and adoption of Arene, Toyota’s software platform for the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) era. We work closely with engineering, product, design, regional teams, and executive leadership to ensure Arene’s platform and tools are clearly communicated, aligned to customer and business needs, and positioned to scale across Toyota and its partners.

We turn complex technical concepts into compelling narratives and frameworks, help teams understand how Arene creates value, and ensure the platform evolves in alignment with real-world feedback and strategic priorities.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a Go-to-Market Strategist to lead the development of strategic messaging, positioning, and engagement frameworks that connect Arene’s capabilities to Toyota’s global business objectives.

This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, business, and communications. You will be responsible for developing clear, impactful messaging for new platform features and tools, driving go-to-market strategy, and enabling internal and external stakeholders to understand and advocate for Arene’s value.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can also execute independently — comfortable crafting narratives, building high-impact materials, shaping launch strategies, and supporting field enablement. You should be passionate about translating technical innovation into customer and business value, and thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Define and continuously refine Arene’s value propositions for different stakeholder groups (engineering, regional subsidiaries, Toyota executives, external partners)
    • Develop clear, audience-specific messaging and positioning for new product capabilities, tools, and services
    • Support go-to-market planning for new features and platform updates, including internal communications, stakeholder alignment, and launch readiness
    • Create and maintain core messaging assets (e.g., playbooks, slide decks, battlecards, feature briefs) to support stakeholder understanding and field enablement
    • Partner closely with product, engineering, regional, and business teams to ensure unified messaging across channels and initiatives
    • Track feature adoption, feedback, and competitive insights to inform communication strategies and adjust positioning as needed
    • Help craft executive presentations and strategic communications that advance Arene’s positioning within Toyota and the broader ecosystem

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5+ years of experience in go-to-market strategy, product positioning, communications, or customer engagement roles
    • Proven ability to develop strategic messaging frameworks for technical or platform products
    • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor messaging for diverse technical and non-technical audiences
    • Strong project management skills and ability to independently drive initiatives forward
    • Experience working closely with product, engineering, and regional business teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience with mobility platforms, developer tools, cloud technologies, or enterprise software solutions
    • Familiarity with software-defined vehicle (SDV) concepts or automotive technology landscapes
    • Experience working with or supporting global teams in complex organizational environments
    • Ability to simplify and structure complex information into high-impact narratives for internal and external stakeholders

For positions based in Palo Alto, CA, the base pay for this position ranges from $140,000- $230,000 a year.

Your base salary is one part of your total compensation. We offer a base salary, short term and long term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. The total compensation offered to an employee will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and level.
