TEAM
Woven by Toyota is building Arene, a novel software development platform that enables efficient development of Toyota's next-generation Software-defined Vehicles without compromising safety and security.

The Product Evaluation and Benchmarking team, which is a part of the Arene Value Delivery group, plays a crucial role in technically assessing competitiveness and performance of Arene's products, providing valuable information for decision-making about technical insights, state-of-the-art technologies, and recommendations for improvements. These insights support Value Delivery in making strategic decisions.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
You will build benches, rigs, services, applications and whatever else is needed to assess quality, performance and other characteristics of the Arene products and tools in multiple potential usages.

This will require strong interactions with other Arene teams and external development teams from Toyota and other companies in the ecosystem, working across all products and features. In this role you will report to the Engineering Manager of Evaluation and Benchmarking, and the role is mostly Onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design, build, and manage a variety of software for assessing Arene products and tools that push the boundaries of the Arene platform.
    • Use and assess Arene products and tools.
    • Follow and assess best practices for Arene product development.
    • Build relationships with Arene and external teams, internal and external stakeholders, and alternative solution providers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 5+ years of experience with efficient C/C++.
    • Expertise in embedded software in robotics, automotive, aviation, etc.
    • Familiarity with modern development processes and tools.
    • Working proficiency in verbal and written English.

NICE TO HAVES:

    • Advanced system design and programming skills.
    • Experience in simulation, virtual hardware, etc.
    • Experience in designing and implementing SDKs.
    • Experience in integration and automation.
    • Experience in UI design and development.
    • Familiarity with industry standards such as AUTOSAR, ASPICE, ISO 26262, etc.
    • Japanese language proficiency.
