To support the hybrid work approach in our company effectively, the Workplace Operations team takes an assessment between the office usages and the business requirements as a trusted professional advisor from a real estate and facilities perspective.

To support the hybrid work approach in our company effectively, the Workplace Operations team takes an assessment between the office usages and the business requirements as a trusted professional advisor from a real estate and facilities perspective.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) for all Japan sites.
    • Work with IT and Cyber Security team to establish process and policy for risk and crisis management.
    • Work with manager, advise the senior executive team on risks and effectiveness; promote the initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the crisis management plan with partners.
    • Lead to establish Crisis Management Plan (CMP) to be correctly placed and updated.
    • Work with manager, develop a global vendor management strategy for crisis management plan.
    • Be the single point of contact and PMO for Crisis Management Team to facilitate the discussion during the crisis such as natural disasters, pandemic, and terrorist attacks.
    • Ensure that environmental policy manuals are available and updated.
    • Ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keep abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact us.
    • Lead sustainability initiatives to contribute to the carbon neutrality strategy.
    • Ensure EHS related projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Take direct accountability to lead EHS Management in Japan: lead EHS assessment of sites in Japan and establish plans and policies. Introduce training to improve leader and employee awareness for safety. Additionally, work with facilities management members to promote safe and secure office management process that is aligned with the security policies.
    • Provide strategic oversight to important functions for EHS. Improve the metrics to improve business operations and track the strategic plan.
    • Present data to support quarterly OKR reviews and general decision-making as one of the functional leaders in Workplace Operations organization.
    • In addition to CMP, contribute on facilitating the discussion with the business side to develop their business continuity plan which aligns with our CMP.
    • You will be report to Senior Facilities Manager, Workplace Operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of experience working with Environmental, Health and Safety related vendors as a part of facilities management.
    • 10+ years of business experience
    • Native or Fluent in Japanese language, Fluent or Advanced in English languages

NICE TO HAVES

    • Emergency Management, Business Management or related discipline preferred OR any equivalent combination of education, specialized training which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities required.
    • Proficiency in Environmental, Health and Safety management process in a multinational corporation.
