TEAM
The Toyota Woven City is a fully connected ecosystem powered by hydrogen fuel cells to be built at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. Envisioned as a 'living laboratory', the Woven City will serve as a home to full-time residents and researchers who will be able to test and develop technologies such as robotics, personal mobility, smart homes and artificial intelligence in a real-world environment. Woven City will be 'ever-evolving', incorporating various types of cutting-edge technologies. It is also 'human-centric,' and expected to keep people safe and comfortable.
Woven City's R&D team will develop innovative products and services using technologies developed by Toyota Motor Corporation. Our mission is to:
1. Develop services and products for Woven City
2. Expand capabilities through long-term R&D
Toyota Motor Corporation has been involved in a variety of technological development in the robotics, energy, and automotive domains for a long time. Our team will leverage Toyota's hardware expertise in these fields to create new value by developing software on top of this.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a data strategist with a passion about program promotion for the Woven City energy aggregation system demonstration and expansion into business. With hands-on experiences and knowledge about data-driven development planning and scaling, you are expected to analyze data and create strategy discussion materials to maximize the value of the program. You are also expected to build alignment with stakeholders.
You will report to the energy system development domain senior manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a data analysis approach and modeling methodology based on energy domain demonstration programs and strategies.
- Lead analysis and visualization, hypothesis formulation, and effectiveness measurement using mathematical models.
- Build and operate data utilization infrastructure.
- Visualization of issues in energy operations algorithms, machine learning models and data forecasting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, several service teams and third parties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in building business insight infrastructure and analysis of time series big data.
- Experience in analytical reporting and issue identification using frameworks and graphs.
- Experience in software developments or business developments through collaboration with stakeholders and relevant divisions.
- Proficiency in business level Japanese and English (able to conduct technical discussions and create documentations).

- ビジネスインサイトの基盤構築や時系列ビッグデータ分析の経験
- フレームワークやグラフを用いた分析レポートや課題抽出の経験
- ステークホルダーや関連部門とのコラボを通じてシステム開発もしくは事業開発を主導した経験
- 日本語と英語での技術的な議論や文書作成のスキル
NICE TO HAVES:
- Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in software developments and operations for the energy business.
- Experience in business planning or start-up company management using software products and solutions.
- Experience and knowledge in data driven software DevOps.
