TEAM
Arene Vehicle Platform's (AVP) goal is to modernize vehicle software development by simplifying vehicle software development and increasing deployment frequency without compromising safety and security.Arene aims to improve how vehicles are designed and developed, and we're working with Toyota to accomplish this goal in its next-generation vehicles.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
You are a technical program management professional who brings experience building vehicles or other complex hardware / software products in an ambiguous, development and production environment. You will create and lead technology programs that get delivered on time and as specified while working with multiple stakeholders to create visibility. You are comfortable navigating a fast-moving environment. You will report to Head of AVP. You will work onsite at Nihonbashi, Tokyo.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with the engineering to structure work and manage risk in technical programs across the Vehicle Platform Teams
- Work with product and engineering teams to design and implement V&V plans and other pre-launch activities for new data platform features/capabilities
- Co-create documented plan of record at the weekly, sprint, quarter, half-year, year and multi-year timescales using scrum methodologies
- Promote daily high velocity execution of plans by task tracking in Jira and dependency management with other teams along with system engineers, perform risk assessment and produce mitigation plans
- Lead iterative delivery of projects from concept to ship, through focus, transparency, communication, visibility, and accountability
- Identify and proactively resolve systemic issues affecting engineering
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8+ years experience with program management, in one of the following fields: mechanical, electrical, aerospace or software engineering
- Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
- Experience operating across multiple teams, across time zones, and projects with only high-level direction
- Experience in Agile software development and V-model system development life cycle
- Influence, negotiate and inspire others in a matrixed environment
- Experience using project management tools
- English and Japanese Fluency
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience in Functional Safety and Automotive practices
- Proficiency in programming languages and coding, such as Python and JavaScript
- Experience in data analytics and visualization tools, such as SQL, Pandas, PowerBI
- JIRA, Confluence Power User
- Project Management certifications
