TEAM
The Map Services team in Tokyo, Japan, is a culturally diverse team developing software for autonomous driving (AD) and advanced driver assistance (ADAS) systems. Our experts develop cutting-edge technology for the next-generation AD/ADAS platform, building components deployed to both Cloud and vehicles. The team is responsible for the in-vehicle map servicing architecture, efficient processing of map data, and providing the map data to the AD/ADAS applications. We apply state-of-the-art technology, write high quality safety-critical code that gets deployed to production.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
・An experienced Software Engineer for Autonomous Driving (AD), with interest in Cloud and vehicle software systems
・Someone who can write the highest quality, safe code that will be used to serve cutting-edge AD/ADAS features
・A great team player who strives in an international environment with passion to innovate and deliver a product to the customer
・Having an interest in Automotive technology is encouraged
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Architect and develop high-quality, robust modules related to Autonomous Driving in C++ and Python
- Development of C++ software components for Autonomous Driving and Mapping Applications
- Responsible co-ownership of code quality, unit test and documentation with a team of highly skilled engineers
- Ownership of map-related formats and specifications in a multi-domain architecture
- Collaborate with an international team of engineers
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong experience in modern C++ development (C++14 or higher)
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications related to software modules and architectures, map format specifications, and complex data models
- Ability to make decisions based on project priorities and scope
NICE TO HAVES
- Strong experience in embedded systems, preferably Automotive environment
- Experience working in large, distributed international teams
- Experience with Bazel
- Experience with Docker
- Familiar with Functional Safety/ISO 26262
- Business level Japanese
