TEAM
Woven by Toyota develops, implements, and scales human-centered automated driving solutions for personal and commercial use. We develop perception technologies and its production software for the AD/ADAS system. To accomplish a reliable and functional system, we are solving complex real-world problems using large-scale data, machine learning algorithms, and a variety of perception technologies.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The ideal candidate is self-motivated to find solutions to complex real-world problems, and makes an impact while contributing to a cross-functional team. You will combine cutting-edge technologies with robust safety standards while also considering cost efficiency. Also, you have patience to tackle the processes required for production development and approach them by asking "What can I do for you?" with a "Giver" mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES
・Technical management of ADAS perception applications for mass production, including its development, testing, and efficient deployment to ECUs:
・Decide the direction to tackle technical issues
・Review and approve technical detail study and direction
・Define technical roadmaps for the team, identifying areas that need improvement and leading cross-team solutions
・Take a significantly complex product from inception to launch
・Building and leading a team:
・Build a global team including the clarification and management of responsibilities
・Build strong relationships with stakeholders and contribute to accelerating the project
・Manage stakeholder requirements and expectations as their contact
・Guide and train team members as the leader of the integration team and maximize their output
・Clarify the team’s goals and assign each member’s role appropriately
・Manage human resources and budget
・Managing the team to achieve the following:
・Build the integration process for perception applications, automating integration and release processes and triaging issues
・Implement and optimize the functions with HW accelerators on the SoC
・Establish a sustainable software development process with automated testing, continuous integration, and code reviews
・Investigate, analyze and plan countermeasures of the issues on ECU such as bugs, processing load increases and specification mismatches
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of (hands on) production-related experience in software development, including knowledge of computer science basics and UNIX-based systems (Linux or similar)
- 5+ years of (hands on experience) with modern and idiomatic C11 / C++11, development toolchains and version control (e.g., gcc, clang, CMake, Bazel, git)
- Computer architecture understanding to identify and optimize performance bottlenecks across multiple software layers (OS/device drivers to applications)
- Experience in coordination of international and virtual teams
- Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with automotive sensors, such as Camera, Lidar, Radar, etc.
- Experience with Python
- Experience with CUDA or OpenCL
