WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking highly motivated, energetic, and exceptional engineers to join our team. In this role, you are expected to apply your expertise in software development and cloud-based platforms, along with your knowledge of backend development and system design skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with other engineers to define requirements, design software architecture, engage in coding, and conduct testing.
- Collaborate with diverse teams, including city platform, operations, security and other to ensure safe and comprehensive implementation of requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and partners, including TMC and other Toyota group companies.
- Enhance the technical skills of team members through proactive contributions and mentorship.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of experience with software development in one or more of the programming languages, such as Go, C#, Java or Python
- Experience in defining specifications based on requirements, designing microservice architectures and large-scale real-time data processing utilizing asynchronous communication, delivering high-quality coding and testing within an agile development environment
- Strong experience in backend development and database management, especially in deploying cloud-based applications in containerized environments like Kubernetes
- Good communication, a proactive mindset, and strong problem-identification and solving skills
- Business level proficiency in Japanese and passion to develop English skill
NICE TO HAVES
- Strong experience in data modeling and database management, whether in relational or NoSQL databases
- Strong understanding of algorithms for predicting the location and collision of moving objects, which are used in autonomous vehicles, using map information, time-series location information and others
- Experience in developing systems in domains such as mobility management systems and traffic control systems
- Understandings of machine learning-based probabilistic generative model and state estimation model
- Experience working with simulation technologies or platforms
- Business level proficiency in English
