TEAM
Enterprise AI is a platform that provides end-to-end machine learning tooling and compute infrastructure to support and accelerate AI/ML development, including autonomous driving, ADAS, and other related projects. Our products serve customers as a standardized machine learning platform within Woven by Toyota, Toyota Motor, and the larger Toyota Group.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As the Business Development & Partnership Manager, you will lead engagements with customers and technology partners, shaping business opportunities for the Enterprise AI business.
We are looking for candidates who excel in collaborating with others to identify business opportunities and manage strategic relationships.
You are passionate about go-to-market strategies and customer acquisition plans, primarily focusing on the Toyota Group. You will also focus on ensuring win-win relationships with key vendors to contribute to the growth of the Enterprise AI business.
This hybrid role requires onsite presence three days per week, and you will frequently travel to the Nagoya area. You will report to the Head of Enterprise AI.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent Enterprise AI and manage relationships across Toyota, Toyota Group Companies & Affiliates, and key partners & vendors
- Own agenda planning, meeting preparation, and follow-up for engagements. Develop proposals, presentations, and contracts that align with customer requirements, including budgets and funding models.
- Create and report on market research to identify trends and opportunities, providing insights to product, engineering, and business teams. Coordinate, prepare materials, and pitch at external conferences & /events.
- Drive lead-generation and customer relationship management, primarily focusing on the Toyota Group
- Close contracts and ensure commercial operations are fulfilled in collaboration with business functions
- Track and report on the status of engagements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in sales, business development, product marketing, or strategic partnership roles with leading technology/AI organizations
- Ability to manage and influence business relationships across functions and levels
- Experience in requirements gathering, account/funnel management, client project management, organizational selling, or partnership building
- In-depth knowledge of the technology industry, particularly in AI/ML, SaaS, and platform products
- Fluent in both English and Japanese
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience working with/at automotive Tier1s (Toyota Group Tier1s are strong plus) or OEMs
- AI/ML experience
