TEAM
Woven by Toyota's AD/ADAS (AD/ADAS: Autonomous Driving and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) organization, is developing the core algorithms for safe and robust driving of complex and uncertain real-world environments and the development ecosystem that powers rapid iteration. Our teams are contributing to next generation autonomy and ADAS active safety systems through core algorithms, data-driven approaches, and efficient architectures.
Our Business Strategy & Operations team focuses on providing resource strategy, budget management, leadership team support, business model development and internal communications for the AD/ADAS organization. The Senior Manager will work closely with counterparts in global offices and cross-functional teams to drive key AD/ADAS initiatives, shaping and executing strategies that advance our mission to develop an ever better autonomy application with state-of-the-art methods, tools and processes for Toyota.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The AD/ADAS Business Strategy & Operations team is looking for an analytical and strategic whiz. This individual demonstrates exceptional business judgment, should excel at using financial and operational data to influence cross-functional stakeholders, and can effectively navigate twists and turns of complex business scenarios to drive improvements & support the team. The ideal candidate will also be attuned to identifying opportunities or roadblocks early to build proactive strategies for the team. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential to ensure strategic initiatives roll out smoothly throughout the organization. If this sounds like you, join us for a fun ride!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with finance and business leaders to manage global budgets, forecasting, and ensure actual spending tracks to budget constraints for AD/ADAS
- Analyze resource efficiency and collaborate with stakeholders to propose solutions for improved global resourcing
- Launch and manage key strategic projects (e.g. competitive market analysis, build vs buy strategies, etc.) by leading stakeholder discussions, tracking project progress/budget, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success
- Support leadership and Chief of Staff in strategic planning by providing data-driven insights that can help inform decision-making
- Find opportunities to streamline operational processes and implement best practices across the organization
- Analyze overall business risks and propose mitigation strategies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of professional experience in business development, business operations, management consulting, finance, or technology
- Strong analytical skills, comfort working with dashboards, business intelligence tools, and in spreadsheet software (e.g. Excel and Google Sheets)
- Consistent track record of delivering results with large-scale, cross-functional global projects and leading multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
- Experience in formulating business strategies, competitive analysis, or market research
- Fluent in Japanese (native or business level)
NICE TO HAVES
- Global mindset, understand how cultural differences can impact how and what we communicate
- Experience in automotive industry particularly in AD/ADAS or related technology fields
- Basic knowledge in using Confluence and Jira
- Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
