TEAM
Arene's goal is to open vehicle programming to everyone by simplifying vehicle software development and increasing deployment frequency without compromising safety and security. This will create a whole new market of vehicle application developers who, through software, integrate a vehicle into our daily lives in novel ways. Arene aims to significantly improve how vehicles are designed and developed, and we're working closely with Toyota to realize this goal in its next-generation vehicles.
The Global Execution Excellence team ensures that quality is built into the product from the very beginning and strives to constantly improve the way we develop.

The Arene Quality Management Team guarantees that the Arene Engineering team delivers the highest quality by defining and ensuring the adoption of a QMS framework of standards and controls for our work processes.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for professionals who are excited about working in an environment which puts safety first in software production.
You will be working closely with development teams to define a working culture and supporting processes which guarantee built-in quality in our software products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and implement the standards practices for Arene Software Quality Engineering and targeted objectives to ensure functional suitability, efficiency/performance, compatibility, usability, reliability, security, maintainability, and portability of the Arene software products according to the ISO/IEC25000 standards series.
- In alignment with Security and FuSa teams, define the management framework for the Software Quality Engineering through assigned roles, Quality Requirements and operations to be applied by the Arene Engineering team, ensuring their integration into the Arene Engineering QMS documented processes (Quality Management System).
- Define the reference model and KPIs for Software's Quality Evaluation and provide practical guidance for their application by defining standards, guidelines, and templates for the Quality Evaluation of Arene SW products.
- Collaborate with Software Quality Assurance Engineers to constantly reflect their findings into existing processes to improve the quality of the delivered products.
- Assist engineering teams in the roll-out of new procedures and their implementation.
- Act as a mentor to the engineering managers, supporting them to constantly enforce quality engineering practices toward total quality.
- Promote the Total Quality mindset within Arene Engineering Team through close collaboration, assessment of the teams' achievements and capacity and trainings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent English communication and people engagement skills
- Solid understanding and demonstrated experience in application of the ISO25000 series for Software Quality Management
- Knowledge of software development processes, such as Automotive SPICE, CMMI, etc.
- Solid experience in software development/engineering
- Solid experience in SW Quality Engineering / Quality Assurance
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with modern Software development processes and tools
- Solid project management skills
- Experience working in multicultural teams and openness to various cultures
- Mindset for ownership, growth, and a bias for progress
- Deep commitment to quality
NICE TO HAVES:
- Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO9001 or IATF
- Familiarity with ISO (9001, 26262, 21434) standards and automotive standards such as automotive spice, WP.29 implementation in multi-discipline teams in the automotive industry
- Knowledge of the automotive industry standards and regulations
- Japanese communication skills
