TEAM
Woven by Toyota is developing autonomous driving (AD) and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) for Toyota's mass-produced vehicles. The mission of the JP Business Strategy team is to formulate strategies, manage budgets and resources, and plan long-term resource allocation to ensure smooth development of AD/ADAS. The team is responsible for creating budget management systems, drafting joint management schemes and contracts with related companies, and overseeing a wide range of tasks.
 
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking someone who can create an environment where engineers can perform at their best in the rapidly changing AD/ADAS market, leading coordination tasks and developing operational processes for the AD/ADAS team. We are looking for someone who can engage stakeholders, proactively drive tasks, and work hands-on to implement improvements. Given the need to communicate with hundreds of engineers, we seek someone sincere, customer-focused, and service-oriented.
 
You will be in a hybrid work environment with team members coming to the office in Tokyo 3 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to consolidate and propose management strategies in the AD/ADAS domain
    • Work with stakeholders to consolidate and propose development structures and collaboration frameworks with other companies
    • Lead and drive the general management of AD/ADAS projects, guiding the team (tasks include disseminating various administrative communications, BCP [Business Continuity Planning], considering office layouts, etc.)
    • Manage resources and budgets for overall AD/ADAS development. Propose and build management methods tailored to objectives
    • Analyze and collaborate with stakeholders to propose solutions for efficient global resource allocation, including overseas bases
    • Conduct benchmarking and competitive trend research in the AD/ADAS business domain

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience managing complex projects, particularly with multiple stakeholders
    • 2 years of experience managing a team
    • Ability in data analysis for effective resource and budget management
    • Business-level Japanese and English ability

NICE TO HAVES

    • Practical experience in AD/ADAS or related technology fields
    • Experience in formulating business strategies, competitive analysis, or market research in the AD/ADAS domain
    • Basic knowledge of accounting and finance
    • Proficiency in spreadsheet software like Excel (can perform complex functions) and Spreadsheet
    • Basic programming skills (e.g., GAS/Python/VBA)
