TEAM
Enterprise AI is a platform that provides end-to-end machine learning tooling experience to support and accelerate machine learning development, including autonomous driving and other related projects. Our platform serves customers as a standardized machine learning platform within Woven by Toyota as the larger Toyota Group companies.
The Enterprise AI Inference team is dedicated to democratizing AI across Toyota. By focusing on simple UX we are working to make AI discoverable and accessible to people with a variety of technical backgrounds. Our work helps to bring intelligent automation into the car development and manufacturing process.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for experienced developers who are excited to build tools and frameworks to support AI workloads and enable solutions for the tail end of the machine learning development lifecycle. This is a hybrid role requiring your presence onsite 3 days per week, where you will report to the senior engineering manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, maintain, optimize and support large scale, multi-region, multi-cloud compute infrastructure powering our platform and mission critical services
- Work with other teams to optimize infrastructure usage and build efficient solutions for complex tasks, using English to collaborate
- Mentor junior engineers in their day to day work and drive best practices across the organization
- Contribute to the long term strategy for several of our systems and products
- Provide support such as analysis and monitoring, and act as part of the team for on-call responsibility for production incidents
- Help to onboard new customers, accommodate their technical needs and answer engineering question in the support channel
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in programming, with experience using Golang, Rust, Java or other statically typed and compiled programming languages
- 3+ years experience with event-driven, distributed, and cloud architectures
- 3+ years experience with Terraform, Docker, cloud-native technologies, networking and Kubernetes in production
- Ability to debug & optimize code, to troubleshoot distributed systems and to automate routine tasks
- Experience designing, deploying, monitoring and maintaining large-scale, fault-tolerant multi-region and/or multi-cloud distributed systems
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with Kserve, Knative and or Istio
- Experience with ML Ops
- Experience working with Japanese customers or clients
- Experience in the automotive industry or knowledge of automotive software development
- Experience working in environments with a focus on security and reliability
- Background in OTA, IoT or automotive hardware
