WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
The Talent Management function is responsible for building the global talent management & development infrastructure. This Program Manager position is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of talent management programs and processes, especially: talent assessment & development frameworks, talent & career development programs, and training and learning. The role reports to the Talent Management Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, promote and implement talent assessment and development frameworks, such as competency frameworks and company value behaviors. Build out the assessment framework across job levels.
- Assess needs, design, implement, and manage talent development programs such as mentoring, executive coaching, talent rotations, and secondment/assignments
- Design, implement and deliver targeted priorities for learning and development, in ways that meet the organization's immediate needs while laying the foundation for the future. This includes strategic planning, deployment, management, and execution of priority training programs, such as manager core training, new manager orientation, manager tactical training, unconscious bias training, and other organizational needs that this role will identify
- Assessing the need for other development and learning programs, such as executive coaching program, employee orientation & other organizational priorities
- Leading group facilitation or training, may be required occasionally. The primary content delivery method will be through vendor selection and management
- Integrate or develop the platforms or systems to digitize information about our talent and talent data.
- Manage and leverage relationships with external vendors in the performance management, succession planning, executive coaching and other related talent initiative
- Alignment with key internal stakeholders cross functionally
- Creating and managing appropriate effectiveness metrics and other reporting to assess business impact of talent and learning & development programs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 5 years developing and implementing talent management programs and processes for a global organization
- Deep knowledge of the talent management cycle, including processes and programs in competency modeling, performance management, career development, succession planning, and education and training
- Proven track record of implementing effective talent management strategies and programs
- Experience in training & content development and facilitation is ideal
- Experience in implementing learning strategies and experience with LMS systems
- Experience operating in a fast-paced and dynamic global business environment
- Successful track record working cross culturally
- Strong consultative and diagnostic skills
- Possesses high sense of urgency
- Effective self-management and project management ability
- You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves, designing from the ground up, and following up on the implementation details
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Japanese and English language business level proficiency is required
