About Woven by Toyota
Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. Inspired by a legacy of innovating for the benefit of others, our mission is to challenge the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation — expanding what “mobility” means and how it serves society.

Our work centers on four pillars: AD/ADAS, our autonomous driving and advanced driver assist technologies; Arene, our software development platform for software-defined vehicles; Woven City, a test course for mobility; and Cloud & AI, the digital infrastructure powering our collaborative foundation. Business-critical functions empower these teams to execute, and together, we’re working toward one bold goal: a world with zero accidents and enhanced well-being for all.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking a Producer to join our Communications & Marketing team at Woven by Toyota. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, bilingual in Japanese and English, and an excellent communicator. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality work.

As a producer, you will report directly to the Creative Director, who leads branding efforts for Woven by Toyota. You will play a vital role in helping us bring branding-related projects to life. Your responsibilities will include managing timelines, budgets and resources, while working closely with internal and external teams to understand their workflows. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard.

We are looking for someone with a thorough understanding of how corporate organizations operate and who is deeply aligned with our purpose, vision and mission. You will need to confidently navigate complex cross-functional work across creative, PR, legal, product and tech teams. Projects will range from producing websites, brand collateral, and videos to organizing events and creating internal guidelines. You will also support the team in preparing and presenting proposals to senior leadership, including C-suite executives. While you do not need to be the creative voice in the room, you will need to know how to support, guide and help deliver excellent creative work in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This role requires someone who is comfortable with ambiguity and can find clarity in uncertain situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead and manage projects from planning through execution, ensuring successful delivery
    • Provide proactive support to the Creative Director and Global Head of Communications in bringing branding initiatives from concept through completion
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including executive leadership, PR, brand, product, and tech to ensure alignment and smooth execution
    • Facilitate clear and timely communication across internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability
    • Manage budgets and project management
    • Help define and track OKRs to drive strategic focus and measurable progress
    • Identify and proactively manage potential risks, miscommunications and challenges, offering practical solutions when necessary
    • Organize and lead regular check-ins and project status updates to keep teams aligned and engaged
    • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages creative thinking and proactive problem-solving
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including timelines, reports, presentations and proposals

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • 10+ years of experience in project or production management within a digital agency, events company, startup or marketing environment
    • Proven track record of managing external partners, including creative agencies, design studios and vendors both in Japan and internationally
    • Comfortable working with large Japanese corporations and navigating internal processes, hierarchies and stakeholders
    • Experience managing diverse stakeholders from various industries
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing priorities, backed by strong organizational, time management and critical thinking skills
    • Solid understanding of production principles, methodologies and best practices
    • Strong emotional intelligence, empathy and cultural awareness for effective collaboration across global and cross-functional teams
    • Native-level fluency in Japanese, with excellent communication skills
    • Business-level proficiency in English, with experience working in a global work environment
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as marketing, communications, or business, or equivalent practical experience

NICE TO HAVES

    • An entrepreneurial spirit, whether through independently starting a project, launching a creative initiative, or leading purpose-driven community programs
    • Genuine curiosity about branding, innovation, mobility, and Toyota's evolving role in the world
    • An open and collaborative mindset, with enthusiasm for contributing to brainstorming sessions and creative workshops
    • A thoughtful approach to communication, with an interest in how ideas are developed and shared
    • Familiarity with design thinking or human-centered design methodologies
