TEAM
The mission of our team is to develop Lane Change Assist functionality for Toyota’s mass-production vehicles. We determine whether a safe lane change can be done based on the condition of our vehicle and the surrounding environment (positions and speeds of other vehicles, road types, and other environmental factors), ensuring smooth, secure, and safe lane changes. We are looking for passionate individuals who are committed to developing world-class autonomous driving features to improve the lives of millions around the globe.

We are looking for engineers to develop software with quality suitable for mass-production vehicles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinate of requirements and definition of software specification
    • Develop software for embedded system with mass-production quality
    • Evaluate software by simulation and actual vehicle
    • Write a design document, testing report, etc.
    • Develop tools and CI
    • Collaborate with related teams such as Requirements,  Perception, Planner and Testing
    • Come to the office 3 days per week per our hybrid work policy, and report to the Lane Change Assist manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in C/C++ and Python
    • Experience with AD/ADAS, Robotics or embedded software development
    • Knowledge of mathematics and dynamics
    • Native level proficiency in Japanese, verbal and written (JLPT N1 or higher)
    • Basic English proficiency
    • Good communication and problem solving skill
    • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, Mathematics, Physics or a related field

NICE TO HAVES

    • 3+ years experience in C/C++
    • 1+ years experience in Python
    • Experience with product development of embedded software
    • Experience with development of AD/ADAS
    • Experience with AWS, Azure, etc.
    • Knowledge of middleware such as ROS
    • Experience with agile development
