The Global Execution Excellence team is dedicated to enabling Arene Engineers to produce software of the highest quality while embracing the Agile culture by ensuring that quality is built into the product from the very beginning and Arene strives to constantly improve the way we develop; We foster Agile principles in our organization and help build happy and high-performing teams working at a sustainable pace.

This role will be the primary representation of the Global Execution Excellence team in Arene North America acting as a cross-regional link and promoting the adoption of an efficient Arene execution model.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for professionals who are passionate about applying Toyota values to cutting-edge software development and driving the transformation towards software defined vehicles supported by the pursuit of safety, quality and agility in software production. 
You will be working closely with development teams to enable the definition and standardization of optimized processes across teams, and contributing to their Arene-wide application.

The successful candidate will report to the Department Head of Arene Execution Excellence North America in this hybrid role. The role requires at least 3 days in the office per week.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teammates are expected to work beyond JD responsibilities whenever possible to help achieve the mission.
As the representative of the Global Execution Excellence team in Arene North America, you will be responsible for managing the local execution of global initiatives driven by the Quality and the Agile Coaches teams.

    • Optimize department-wide processes and manage efficient information sharing, align Scrum execution with the Agile Coaches team in Japan;
    • Promote Arene’s TPS-based quality mindset and Agile culture in the Arene North America organization.
    • Represent the Global Arene Quality organization in rolling out global processes in the NA organization.  
    • Address the specifics of Arene North America through collaboration with Engineering and other stakeholders to refine existing processes;
    • Contribute to the implementation of a local audit program of the QMS in collaboration with the Global Execution Excellence audit program manager;
    • Coordinate and conduct internal QMS audits in the different Arene North America sites together with a team of locally appointed and trained auditors;
    • Advocate for Arene Engineering best practices; 
    • Define and implement a local software product Quality Assurance audit program based on globally defined engineering criteria.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Excellent English communication and people engagement skills;
    • Excellent understanding of modern Software Development practices and frameworks (Agile, Scrum, ASPICE, …);
    • Good Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9001:2015  or IATF 16946:2016;
    • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach
    • Advanced Scrum Certification
    • Mindset for ownership, growth, and a bias for progress;

NICE TO HAVES:

    • Prior knowledge and practical experience in any of the following domains: organizational development, business-driven product development or software craftsmanship;
    • Experience in Automotive Engineering;
    • Experience in Quality Planning operation and Quality Assurance audit activities;
    • Supported a distributed team / organizations et-up
    • Knowledge of the Toyota Production System (TPS);
