The Toyota Woven City is a fully connected ecosystem powered by hydrogen fuel cells to be built at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. It is envisioned as a 'living laboratory' and 'ever evolving,' incorporating various types of cutting edge technologies. At the same time, it is also 'human-centric,' that is, it is expected to keep people safe and comfortable. Our mission is to guide every single business and service of Woven City to most effectively and passionately move forward towards each operation phase of the ever-evolving city.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a payment service assistant manager to plan, design, develop, launch and operate payment services in the Toyota Woven City. You will work closely with the engineering team, security team, as well as the operational team to continuously evolve services to better serve both end users and merchants.

You will report to the Business Lead of Financial Services and the workplace is hybrid (office and remote).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Proactively participate to plan, design, develop and implement Woven City's future payment system as a project member with responsibility
    • Understand client/partner's business, their needs and their systems by having direct communication, and crystallize service/operational requirements as well as system requirements of Woven City's payment systems/POS (point of sales) systems, by playing as a system architect
    • Collaborate cross functionally with related parties such as other Business planning team, Engineer team, Security team and support end-to-end process from service development to launch.
    • Manage and address issues to develop, implement, and improve the payment service

    • ウーブン・シティの未来の決済システムの企画・デザイン・開発・導入を担うプロジェクトメンバーとして積極的且つ責任感を持って参画する
    • クライアントやパートナーのビジネスやニーズ、既存システムについて直接会話し、理解しながら、ウーブンシティの決済システムやPOSシステム構築と接続における業務要件並びにシステム要件の策定を担うシステムアーキテクトの役割を担う
    • 他のビジネス企画部門やエンジニア部門、セキュリティー部門と共に、サービスの開発から導入までの一連のプロセスを協力的にサポート
    • 決済サービスの開発および導入における課題管理と改善策の推進

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
    • Passion to move forward in a situation with ambiguity and without a definitive answer.
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in product/service development in the payment area (e.g. mobile payment, POS system, etc.).
    • Knowledge and skill of system architect in payment related area
    • Business communication skill to directly discuss with external partner client (candidate merchants)
    • Excellent analytic and logical thinking skills.
    • A natural collaborator, with the ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization and promote ideas persuasively.
    • Japanese speaking and writing at native level proficiency (N1 level of Japanese-Language Proficiency Test or pure native) and English proficiency at conversational level. Requires continuous effort to improve English

    • 組織横断的に人間関係や信頼を醸成できる能力とチームワーク、アイデアを説得しながら推進できる能力
    • 母国語レベルの日本語会話力・ビジネス文書作成能力(日本語能力試験N1レベル以上)と日常会話レベルの英語力、英語力の上達へ向けた継続的な努力

NICE TO HAVES:

    • Understanding of payment systems and relating operations in various types of merchants (e.g. restaurant, retail).
    • Knowledge of latest data architecture and best practice including purchase data analysis
    • Knowledge and experience of payment system architecture with security perspectives
