WovenLight Deployment Princials are true hybrids, playing a crucial role in our mission to drive value creation through analytics and data science. The role may suit a variety of backgrounds, with the following skills and experiences being important.
As a WovenLight Deployment Principal you will manage teams that develop and productionise data and analytics products within our clients. The ultimate objective being significant operational and financial improvement at those organisations.
Examples of projects you could work on include:
- Optimisation modelling to improve manufacturing throughput
- Predictive modelling to anticipate/avoid asset downtime
- Predicting and reducing customer churn
- Identifying next best action for sales agents
- Geospatial modelling to improve store footprint
You will commonly work alongside a WovenLight team of 3-4 people, comprised of Project Delivery colleagues, Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Machine Learning Engineers.
The successful candidate will have the some of the following capabilities and experience:
Driving impact as day to day project leader of multi-disciplinary teams (DS, DE, MLE)
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary analytics teams (3+ years)
- Strong technical project management toolkit including experience with agile methodologies
- Passion and expertise in applying data and analytics to deliver commercial impact
- Passionate about creating positive team experiences
Hybrid skillset enabling you to act as the the bridge between technical and business colleagues and stakeholders
- This is not a hands-on coding role although it does require you to lead teams of high calibre technical individuals
- Hence it does require a solid understanding of advanced analytics topics (data pipelines, machine learning modelling, technical deployment, solution architecture, etc.)
- Ultimately you will be responsible for ensuring the WHAT (financial and operational impact) with WovenLight Data Science and Engineering colleagues responsible for the HOW (accurate, robust, scaleable ML solutions)
Broad business/commercial understanding and high EQ
- The value creation opportunities you will work on span the entire value chain of companies and industries. Thus the role requires strong business understanding, (e.g. obtained as Engagement Manager at consulting firm or as Product Manager at Technology/Product company)
- Basic familiarity with investing/corporate finance principles and methods. Enabling you to work alongside commercial professionals and deeply understand the financial impact of our work
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, supporting ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across organisations (portfolio companies, investors, partners)
Our core team is based in London. Interviews for this role will be conducted via a combination of phone, video-conference and in person.
