The Role
As a Director of Media Strategy; Holistic Search, you will serve as a key strategic lead within the agency, partnering with an enterprise Fin-Tech company to address their business objectives by strategizing a holistic paid + earned search strategy.
As a Director, Paid Media Strategy (Holistic Search), you will be responsible for developing and executing search strategies that integrate paid search, SEO, and content strategy into one unified approach.
This role blends analytical thinking with creative problem-solving to ensure our brand is discoverable, relevant, and competitive across paid and organic channels. You will be working closely with internal channel teams to bring that vision to life while maintaining a strong client relationship. You will also serve as a core member of the client’s Integrated Agency Team (IAT), collaborating cross-functionally with external agency partners to deliver full-funnel insights and execute on holistic B2B marketing plans.
This role is dynamic and combines extreme ownership and autonomous decision-making, client-facing and boardroom presence, and thoughtful, collaborative internal and cross-agency strategic planning to ensure we’re driving impact and continued growth.

The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $115,000 - $135,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above) and an annual performance bonus.
This role has an associated annual target bonus component which is paid out based on a number of factors which include Company performance, department performance, and individual performance. Bonuses are not guaranteed and you must be an active employee in good standing and not on a Performance Improvement Plan to be eligible for the annual bonus.
*This position may be performed remotely in most states within the US, with some exclusions

You Will Be
- Developing a deep understanding of client B2B business, industry and competition
- Spearheading planning and strategy sessions with the client to understand KPIs, business goals and marketing goals
- Driving the development of search strategies across SEO, paid search, and content strategy
- Driving cross-channel collaboration across internal Wpromote teams to ensure seamless execution of integrated strategy
- Providing strategic paid search budget allocation input based on competitive landscape and organic performance to maximize total search impact
- Owning cross-channel strategy related to AI and LLM optimization
- Reviewing in-flight performance, ensuring teams are optimizing to target KPIs and proposing strategy pivots based on performance
- Leading client performance calls with holistic search insights
- Promoting an environment of campaign progression through the ownership of testing frameworks, in partnership with channel teams
- Leading marketing and business forecasting exercises for client
- Fostering strong collaboration between channel and analytics teams to deliver impactful, high-performing search campaigns
- Partnering with internal leadership to develop frameworks for business reviews, leading the storytelling of cross-channel insights
- Providing client and industry-specific thought leadership
- Collaborating with other stakeholders as part of an IAT / Cross Agency functional team
- Driving strategic ideation and innovation across your client and within the organization, facilitating new channel exploration and new partner RFPs
- Assisting the sales team on pitches for prospective paid media clients
You Must Have
- 6-8 years of experience working in paid media advertising focused on all areas of search
- Proven hands-on experience in developing and executing both SEO and SEM strategies within an agency or large in-house team.
- Strong command of performance marketing KPIs, organic visibility metrics, and how they intersect.
- Experience building and managing holistic search programs—ensuring coordination across SEO and SEM for budget allocation, keyword strategy, and content planning.
- Skilled at identifying opportunities where cross-channel collaboration improves outcomes (e.g., using paid data to inform SEO, or optimizing SEM tactics based on organic performance gaps).
- Ability to articulate the interplay between keyword targeting, landing page optimization, and conversion goals across channels.
- A proven track record leading client engagements with minimal oversight
- Experience working closely with a given client’s additional agency partners on integrated strategy, planning, and measurement
- Proficiency working with analytics teams on granular program tracking and performance dashboard creation
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and respond to situations quickly
- Effective time management and project management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field
