World Relief seeks a Church Partnership Specialist who will work to grow and leverage World Relief’s national network of church partners (Churches of Welcome) to pair Virtual Reception & Placement refugee clients with local churches to support their integration and assist with accessing services.
Role & Responsibilities

- Pursue and increase number of Churches of Welcome partner churches;
- Build rapport and cast vision with church leaders, listening and learning from them;
- Relationally and logistically support World Relief’s engagement of local churches.
- Assess readiness of potential church partners and prioritize based on World Relief’s evaluation criteria;
- Continually assess church leader needs and identify new tools needed to equip churches to serve newcomers.
- Position Churches of Welcome to integrate effectively with other church engagement activities, especially Good Neighbor Programming;
- Collaborate with virtual case management and community engagement staff to build effective partnerships with churches.
- Ensure timely follow up with church leaders engaged at events or seeking support from World Relief;
- Collaborate with other World Relief stakeholders to expand into new cities or regions.
- Ensure contact relationship management tracking is continually up to date in the CRM;
- Track and report team deliverables on project defined metrics.
Recruit and maintain partnerships for equipping, advocating, giving, and serving:
Assess partner engagement capacity and identify pathways to becoming a Church of Welcome:
Collaborate internally to develop new Good Neighbor Team Opportunities:
Convene church leaders virtually across city/state for interest, mutual learning, and onboarding:
Provide system support across CRMs and other lead generation tools:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to convert interest into formal partnerships with churches.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
- Consultative skills in engaging, equipping and supporting church leaders.
- Experience in refugee resettlement or fluency in immigration issues.
- Experience serving in a local church – as staff or volunteer.
- Preferred experience in contact relationship management (CRM) database use

- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- Personal embodiment and thought leadership in integral mission.
- At least 5 years of partnership building, consulting, and/or fundraising experience.
- Lived cross-cultural experience and multi-cultural leadership experience.
- Understanding of denominations and local churches across the Protestant spectrum.
- Bachelor’s degree required
$55,000 - $60,000 a year
