ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.


This position is reliant upon funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on resource availability.


POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the effective use of World Relief Chicagoland’s operational resources to enhance daily organizational functions. Responsibilities include administrative support such as cell phone system coordination and business card management. The role also oversees vehicle scheduling and maintenance for staff and interns in the Chicagoland offices, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective use of transportation resources.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Administrative Assistance
    • Assist with the implementation of new processes and procedures 
    • Prepare ID badges and office desk signs. 
    • Coordinate employee business card development and ordering 
    • Manage Chicagoland Staff Directory, including quarterly distribution to front admin staff. 
    • Liaison for cell phone distribution and portal maintenance
    • Assist with short-term projects as necessary.
    • Other duties as assigned.   

    • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Develops, implements, and improves transportation policies and procedures 
    • Processes transportation documentation and monitoring drivers' logbook entries
    • Ensures all vehicles are inspected and maintained to ensure safety and efficiency 
    • Monitors compliance with WRC transportation regulations and safety standards. 
    • Traffic violation management 
    • Liaises with insurance companies and HO when necessary 
    • Manages vehicle booking software   
    • Conducts driving tests for staff and interns
    • Maintains Fleet vehicle inventory 
    • Safely and successfully drives 10-15 passenger vans.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Mature and personal Christian faith
    • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
    • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
    • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
    • Valid driver’s license 3 years minimum
    • Ability to drive 10-15 passenger vans
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
    • Strong organizational skills, good problem-solving skills, adaptable and proactive
    • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Others required to complete the essential job functions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a history of progressively increasing responsibility and accomplishments.
    • Minimum of two years related work experience is strongly preferred
    • Cross-cultural work or life experience
$22 - $22 an hour
