The ideal candidate is proficient with technology, has excellent organizational and communication skills, and has experience in the non-profit sector working closely with various stakeholders including local churches, service providers, and community organizations to ensure program participants have access to essential resources and support services. This role works in tandem with the Virtual R&P Supervisors to identify, develop, and map resources and referral partners in every community where program participants are placed (in-kind, education, employment, housing, healthcare, etc.).

Role & Responsibilities

    • Build team of community resource coordinators:
    • Assist and/or lead the hiring process for the Community Resource Coordinator positions;
    • Provide training and ongoing professional development for all new direct reports
    • Establish goals, provide performance reviews and follow-up on individual goals;
    • Problem solve with staff and provide regular updates to the Community Engagement Manager;
    • Facilitate a team culture based on integral mission principles that integrates church and community partners into relevant aspects of work;
    • Participate in internal and external meetings. 
    •  Provide resource coordination to support resettlement in various new geographies:
    • Ensure that the day-to-day coordination of resources is streamlined and easily accessible to both staff and the participants we serve;
    • Ensure case management staff are well equipped to support, connect or refer participants to beneficial resources;
    • Oversee the tracking of data on wrap around services offered to participants;
    • Collaborate regularly with team members to ensure our services are synchronized across the Virtual R&P program.   
    •  Build and maintain community resource and partnerships database:
    • Oversee the building of a comprehensive community resource library and connecting it to technology solutions;
    • Analyze resources, document overlaps and gaps, and build on what is currently available in the community;
    • Provide participants with access to a wider, more inclusive, and cohesive array of resources necessary for successful initial resettlement in their new community.   
    • Collaborate with Church Partnership Specialist:
    • Collaborate with the Church Partnership Specialist to align national Churches of Welcome team to WR’s church partnership cultivation and partnership framework;
    • Develop a church lead list for potential partnerships in community resource provision;
    • Position Churches of Welcome to integrate effectively with other church engagement activities, especially Good Neighbor Program;
    • Ensure timely communication with community volunteers and churches, when applicable, in coordination with broader support team. 
    •  Work with community entities to promote and support program participant needs:
    • Provide opportunities for collaboration and networking across community organizations to ensure healthy resettlement of participants;
    • Communicate regularly with service providers to ensure updated and relevant information is available to participants;
    • Advocate on behalf of refugee families when necessary;
    • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    • Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.   
    • Experience in managing a team of five or more members.   
    • Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently towards role-specific, department, and office-wide goals.   
    • Experience in community asset mapping or community outreach preferred. 
    •  Ability to speak clearly and comfortably on the phone with partners and participants, which include people with limited English abilities and/or the use of interpreters.   
    • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively.   
    • Proven success achieving goals and working effectively with all levels of staff in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment and ability to provide accountability to ensure objectives are met.   
    • Ability to work as part of a team. 
    •  Previous experience working in a virtual environment preferred

    •  Personal embodiment and thought leadership in integral mission.   
    • Minimum 2 years' experience working in the non-profit sector.   
    • Demonstrated communication skills and ability to communicate with clarity over virtual platforms. 
    •  Expertise with digital communication tools, such as Zoom, MS Teams, and other platforms. 
    •  Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.   
    • Fluency in written and spoken English 
$55,000 - $60,000 a year
