ORGANIZATION SUMMARY:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The MEAL Advisor works with both Home Office and Country Office based staff to support a cross-functional MEAL role. By guiding quality of WRs reach and impact reporting, the position will drive the technical excellence of World Relief’s MEAL department. Primary responsibilities include Supporting Country Offices in Monthly reporting, Country Offices MEAL capacity building, operationalizing WR MEAL frameworks and strategy, support learning and impact reporting at Country Offices.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technical Assistance (50%)
- Provide technical assistance on monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning to country offices’ MEAL and programme staff, including use and adaption of standard tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting for both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Provide technical support to the programme and MEAL teams at country offices to adopt and implement the organizational DMEAL guidance
- Provide technical support on the design of and reporting on Results Frameworks in line with the WR Theory of Change Impact Framework.
- Provide technical support to the country office MEAL and Program staff on measuring programs reach including the aggregation and reporting of the annual program participants data at country office level.
- Conduct timely quality assurance on metrics data from country offices, contributing to the monitoring of program quality, annual reports at HO level to enhance accountability, and the continuous improvement of programs.
- Support country offices in the development of comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plans for new projects develop metrics for measuring the success of programs, including appropriate, output, outcome and impact indicators In collaboration with sectoral Technical Advisors. (TAs),
- Support country offices to promote sex, age and disability-sensitive data collection and analysis,
- In Collaboration with Impact Systems team and MEAL Director at HO, support the design and development of programs/projects evaluation tools for baseline, midterm, and final evaluation
- Capacity development (30%)
- In collaboration with MEAL Director at HO, develop and implement a country office M&E capacity strategy and development plans, generating training materials and resources where needed.
- Conduct remote and in-person MEAL training and capacity building for country offices staff, enhancing skills and competencies to gather, manage and analyse quality data.
- Advise Country Offices on data protection and security, in line with the WR policy for Data Protection and information sharing policy.
- Coordinate the MEAL Community of Practice (CoP) to provide briefings on new developments as well as encourage the cross-fertilization of ideas and knowledge exchanges across country offices to ensure compliance to the organization's DMEAL standards and continuous strengthening of MEAL practices.
- Process Improvement (20%)
- Support WR MEAL function in continuously improving its data collection, management and reporting systems
- Take part in the development of organizational MEAL resources that support Country Offices to better realize impact reporting.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Mature and personal Christian faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- Must be able to establish strong relationships cross culturally.
- At least 3 years of experience working in fragile or conflict-affected areas or with people on the move as a key target population.
- Ability and willingness to travel to program countries for up to 25% of time including to insecure locations where freedom of movement may be limited and areas where amenities are limited.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in international development MEAL roles.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in international development, Statistics, or other Social Science related field.
$30,000 - $40,000 a year
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
