The Community Engagement Support Intern will partner with Volunteer Coordinators in taking ownership of a client and volunteer supportive initiative that aims to assess and support progress toward goals of a volunteer and client partnership. The intern will also assist the Community Engagement team with various administrative responsibilities. As part of World Relief’s mission to empower the local church to serve the vulnerable, this intern position is central to furthering the mission of World Relief. This internship provides the opportunity to grow in experience of diverse populations, cross-cultural relationships, and interpersonal skills, as well as data management skills.

Role & Responsibilities

    • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    • Establish and take the lead in scheduling and facilitating phone call or Zoom check-ins with clients and volunteers who have been meeting for 1 month to assess progress toward goals.
    • Participate in team meetings, volunteer trainings, and other events
    • Attend and facilitate volunteer and client match meetings
    • Through interviews and online database, collect volunteer data and enter logs into database
    • Provide administrative support to the department through filing and database management
    • Complete required readings and journal entries 
    • Other duties as assigned

    • Comfortable with Microsoft Office
    • At least 1 year of college experience Car (or access to transportation) and valid driver’s license
