ORGANIZATION SUMMARY:
World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization that is fighting for change that lasts, right here in the U.S. and across the globe. We bring sustainable solutions to the world’s greatest problems – disasters, extreme poverty, violence, oppression, and mass displacement. The organization is approximately 75 years old and has worked in over 100 countries around the world since its founding.
In the United States, we come alongside local churches, community organizations and hundreds of individual volunteers to support newly arriving refugee and other immigrant families. Today, we are proud to partner with over 6,000 local churches, and 95,000 volunteers globally to bring hope, healing and transformation to the most vulnerable.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Are you a person of compassion? An advocate for justice? Someone who stands up for the rights of the vulnerable and speaks out for the marginalized, the exploited and the forgotten? Do you believe in our calling as Christians to welcome the least of these and love our neighbor?
If you answered ‘yes’, to any of the above, World Relief, and millions of people around the world need you.
World Relief’s Strategic Engagement Division (SED) is tasked with connecting the passions of individuals, churches, and organizations to the vision of World Relief – through mission-focused funding opportunities – so that the most vulnerable are transformed socially, economically and spiritually. The SED team is tasked with pursuing new partnerships while seeking to steward and care for existing partners with best-in-class care. In support of this goal, the SED team is looking for a talented, ambitious, detail-oriented and collaborative person to join our Partner Trust and Impact team. This position, the Partner Impact Grants Specialist, joins the team during an exciting time for the organization as we celebrate our 80th anniversary and continue to grow our team’s focus on adding value, building trust and connecting our partners to their calling and the mission of World Relief. The team and leadership are committed to sustaining a team culture that values members living out their faith, enjoying high performance and loving their work. The Partner Impact Grants Specialist will develop fundraising content for World Relief’s fundraising team focused on foundations, corporations, churches, and major donors. The ideal candidate will be adept at creating compelling content (grant proposals, impact reports, stories, presentations, updates, etc.), and should have a proven track record of effective project management and timely delivery of deliverables. This position requires a high level of creativity and donor-centric language, and candidates will need the ability to draft both technical and inspirational content. Excellent communication, writing, spelling and editing skills are essential to the role. Preference will be given to those with a strong grant writing and/or grants management background, bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience in the humanitarian and/or refugee resettlement space. Knowledge of the Storybrand framework is a plus.
