Walz Tetrick Advertising is looking for a Senior Social Media Manager to lead the development and execution of social media strategies that enhance our clients’ brand presence and build lasting audience connections. This experienced social media professional will lead a small team, guiding strategy and planning. In addition, you'll provide hands on help, managing content calendars, creating engaging content, and analyzing performance across platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with client goals and target audiences.
    • Collaborate with creative, brand, content, and digital teams to build integrated campaigns across paid and organic social platforms.
    • Manage a social media team responsible for the execution of social programs, including content calendars, publishing, community engagement, and reporting.
    • Evaluate and recommend platform use, messaging approaches, and content mix based on client needs and social trends.
    • Work with creative teams to generate engaging content—posts, stories, videos, reels, etc.—that resonates with users and supports campaign objectives.
    • Monitor platform trends and algorithm changes to evolve tactics and optimize performance.
    • Measure and report on key performance indicators; provide actionable insights to improve reach, engagement, and outcomes.
    • Educate internal teams and clients on social media best practices and emerging tools.
    • Contribute to Walz Tetrick’s own social media efforts, helping build our brand presence in creative and meaningful ways.
    • Collaborate with internal teams on new business pitches and RFP responses by contributing social media strategies, creative concepts, and example campaigns.

REQUIREMENTS

    • 6+ years of experience managing brand social media strategies and programs in an advertising agency.
    • Deep knowledge of major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, etc.).
    • Strong writing and content development skills with an understanding of voice, tone, and visual storytelling.
    • Hands-on experience with social tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Later, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
    • Experience managing and mentoring a social media team; providing strategic direction, fostering professional growth, and ensuring high-quality execution.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain ideas clearly to clients and internal teams.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and content workflows.
    • Analytical mindset and experience using data to guide optimizations and inform strategy.
    • Passion for staying on top of social trends and platform innovations.
