We are seeking a Software Developer to support the Cybersecurity Intelligence Team (CIT) TTO which provides normalization of cyber security data and automation of threat intelligence. The developer will support a tool/application that providing dashboard and data visualization.

The successful candidate will provide data extraction and perform tier-2 customer support.

The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade- offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Capabilities

    • Proficient with: Structured Databases such as Oracle and MySQL
    • Proficient experience with: Oracle database configuration and administration, Oracle database backup and recovery capabilities, understanding corporate authentication services, managing large data sets, and how to implement Oracle Rest Data Services (ORDS), migration of Databases hosted on existing platform to C2S environment
    • Knowledge of commercial cloud service, preferably AWS (C2S, S3, RDS)
    • Experience working in an Agile software environment with incremental delivery every 2 weeks
    • Experience with data security and integrity by utilizing corporate authentication services into a secure full stack solution
    • Experience with managing and delivering moderate size but important data
    • Experience with CALL and SQL Statements
    • Experience preparing and provisioning databases
    • Experience with supporting a micro-services framework to support multiple products for customers
    • Has developed code that uses reference databases to return and cache results for use by other systems
    • Experience with Github and Gitlab
    • Evaluate requirements of current system and lead discussion in re-design efforts
    • Work with development team to ensure database/middle tier/front end interactions are optimized for performance
    • Experience delivering data persistence in a full stack environment
    • Familiar with using Jira and Confluence

Required Qualifications

    • TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Polygraph
    • Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
    • Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Required Technical Skills

    • Experience with Python and PostgresSQL

Desired Technical Skills

    • Experience with Docker, C#, NodeJS, Bash, Powershell, Microsoft Power BI, Grafana, Postgres, MS, SQL, Airflow, Redis and Nginx
    • Certified Ethical Hacker training preferred
