Seeking a Systems Engineer II with SA skills. The Systems Engineer shall focus on system health and sustainment by providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk services to Mission Operation’s (MO) Remote Operations Division. MO’s operators monitor the “health and status” of MO’s collection systems and networks. This contract encompasses multiple and interrelated functions within MO which sustain and enhance current and future fielded systems.
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
Capabilities
- The Systems Engineer/Systems Administrator will be responsible for implementing, troubleshooting and maintaining Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Configure, install, manage and troubleshoot UNIX and Windows operating systems and GOTS/COTS software
- Support IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices
- Optimizes system operations and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis
- At least 14 years troubleshooting software installations and operations.
- Understanding of computer networks with ability to identify, troubleshoot, and document network connectivity and performance issues.
- Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
- At least 5 years analyzing and correcting data flow issues within systems.
- Experience in understanding network diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot dataflow and computer system related issues.
- Working knowledge of enterprise dataflow and Nifi.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
- Fourteen (14) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- CWIP cert if not required for this LCAT, but may be needed for special accesses.

$45.61 - $119.86 an hour
Pay Range: $45.61 - $119.86 per hour*
Hourly pay rates listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location. *Hourly pay rates reflect the pre-benefit gross wage amounts.
