A Look Inside the Role:

The Junior Front-End Engineer will play a key role as Wyze Commerce expands and pushes traditional “eCommerce” boundaries. This role will suit someone looking to gain experience in front end development. You will be tasked with building product and content pages that will be served to millions of visitors, as well as developing parts of our design system. We work in a constantly evolving work environment where being focused, dynamic, and thinking outside of the box will be vital for the success of this role. Our team works closely together across multiple subject areas (business, design, and development) but we do not believe in micromanagement so being autonomous is key. This is a phenomenal opportunity to become familiar with development workflow as well as work with our other developers and managers to expand your knowledge.

You Already Have These Qualifications and Love What You Do:

    • Strong front-end development skills: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
    • Experience with development tools: Grunt, Gulp, Bower, node, etc.
    • Strong UI / UX skill and understanding of Usability
    • Excellent organization and communication skill, both verbal and written
    • Work collaboratively with a team
    • Debugging and problem-solving skills
    • Knowledge with cross-browser development
    • Experience with Source Code Management

And Even Better if the Following Applies to You:

    • Some experience with Figma or similar platform
    • Experience with front end animation
    • Experience with CSS preprocessors: LESS and Sass
    • Have a design eye
    • If you use smart home devices in your daily life 🎉
