About the Role

This role is for a highly motivated individual who will be focused on generating qualified opportunities for Xage’s North American commercial sales team. This individual will act as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to follow-up on leads generated from tradeshows, partner-driven events, digital marketing campaigns, and direct inquiries. This role will also require SDRs to perform outbound prospecting for targeted accounts, working in conjunction with the Account Executives in each territory assigned to the SDR in this role. In the SDR capacity, the individual will be responsible for meetings set & meetings occurred, and assisting the Account Executives in conversion of these meetings to qualified sales opportunities. This is based in the DC Metro Region, but there is flexibility for remote work in regions outside of this territory. 

Responsibilities

    • Contact prospective customers via outbound efforts targeting commercial accounts in the North American sales territories (phone, email, LinkedIn/social media) to educate on Xage value proposition to generate qualified early stage opportunities for Account Executives (AEs) 
    • Follow-up on marketing generated leads for the North American sales territories supported (trade shows & events, website/digital) to qualify and set up meetings for the AEs supported in North America
    • Target mid-level and C-level buyers where possible within key accounts to help AEs get better traction and accelerate deal cycle
    • Create and manage sales opportunity records at the earlier stages of the deal cycle for the commercial territories supported in the North America
    • High energy self-starter with a can-do attitude, and ability to work in a hyper-growth startup environment

Skills and experience

    • 1-3+ years of experience in high-tech B2B software/SaaS industries
    • Minimum of 1-3+ years experience in Sales Development/Business Development functions with strong oral and written communication skills
    • Experience with cybersecurity sales preferred
    • Be organized and able to build and execute on strategic plans, working collaboratively across various levels of the organization
    • Strong desire to operate and overachieve is a must
    • Startup experience is a plus
    • Bachelor’s degree
