As a Proposal Writer and Document Librarian you will apply your skills to consolidate technical input into coherent single voice proposals and develop the authoring and configuration management standards within our Confluence environment. We are looking for our Information Synthesis Specialist to apply their technical expertise, problem solving skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact the future of energy!

Responsibilities:

Proposal Writing

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling and technically accurate proposals.
    • Develop the process for collaboration across proposals with more than two contributors.
    • Coordinate proposal development activities, including proposal kickoff meetings, content reviews, document formatting, and final approval and release of the proposal.

Technical Writing

    • Create and maintain technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and procedures, in accordance with internal and industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Work closely with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of technical content.
    • Revise and update existing documentation as needed to reflect changes in project requirements, standards, or best practices.

Confluence Authoring and Standards Management

    • Establish and maintain authoring standards and guidelines for Confluence, our enterprise wiki platform, to ensure consistency, quality, and usability of content.
    • Train and support Confluence users on best practices for content creation, organization, and navigation.
    • Develop templates, macros, and other tools to facilitate efficient authoring and formatting of Confluence pages.
    • Monitor and enforce compliance with authoring standards, conducting periodic audits and providing feedback to content creators.

Content Management and Organization

    • Organize and categorize content within Confluence to optimize searchability and accessibility for users.
    • Implement metadata tagging and taxonomy structures to enhance content discoverability and navigation.
    • Collaborate with IT and knowledge management teams to integrate Confluence with other enterprise systems and tools.

Continuous Improvement

    • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in proposal writing, technical documentation, and knowledge management.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in proposal development and content authoring workflows.
    • Actively participate in cross-functional teams and initiatives aimed at enhancing communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the organization.

Qualifications

    • Minimum of BS in Communication or Information Systems or equivalent on the job experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years in the role of proposal writer, technical writer or information librarian in a technical setting.
    • Proficiency with documentation platforms including Confluence, MS Word, MS Sharepoint, etc.
    • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
    • Superior written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated abilities to leverage the latest communication tools effectively both internally and externally.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
$80,000 - $120,000 a year
Candidates may be considered for other positions at Xcimer Energy, and our actual base salary will be determined on an individual basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. The range is published in accordance with Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and California Equal Pay Act.
