How you’ll make an impact

As a Partnerships Manager, you will play a pivotal role in Xero’s growth strategy by helping us execute product-enabling partnerships, build on our strategic relationships with banks and other financial institutions through first-of-a-kind deals, and expand our customer base through new channel partnerships. Reporting into and working closely with the VP Partnerships North America and Global Channels, you will help us bolster our efforts and build strategic thinking into scaling our efforts here.

What you’ll do

    • Deal execution: negotiate a variety of deals that enable new product offerings or acquire new customers for Xero
    • Relationship development: Expand the breadth of our relationships with strategic partners  that we see an opportunity to do more with. 
    • Operational Excellence: Continually find ways to improve effectiveness and productivity by contributing to governance of strategic partners and deal management processes. 
    • Strategy: Work closely with cross functional Product and Sales colleagues to define our go-to-market strategy on new Xero products and services.

Success looks like

    • You collaborate closely with cross-functional colleagues across the company to execute on priorities
    • Identify, qualify and build a pipeline of partnership opportunities based on solving partner problems, go-to market & product team priorities  
    • You develop, execute and operate key partnerships that deliver impact for Xero and our partners, with favorable economics to deliver on key OKRs. 
    • You demonstrate and amplify Xero’s Values in doing the above.

What you’ll bring with you

    • Experience within Business Development, GTM Strategy at a SaaS company or Management Consulting is highly desirable.
    • Broad knowledge of technology and the business of software.
    • A track record of addressing business needs through innovative solutions.
    • Comfort with setting and pursuing deal activity goals
    • Versatility to support Xero in doing first of a kind deals in new areas, from Financial Services to New Channel development to Product Partnerships
    • Ability to influence, both internally and externally. 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Strategic mindset, including business/product strategy, an ability to assess the commercial viability of deals and the growth objectives they help enable.
    • Comfortable with commercial & contract negotiations
