How you’ll make an impact
As a Partner Development Representative (PDR) at Xero, you will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads through outbound and inbound prospecting efforts. You will be expected to make outbound dials each day to accountants and bookkeepers in order to generate demand for our platform and solutions that translate to revenue opportunities for our Account Executive team.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for sales, and a desire to learn and grow within the SaaS industry. While prior experience in a SaaS company or entry-level sales position is preferred, it is not required.
What you’ll do
- Make outbound dials each day to accountants and bookkeepers, to generate qualified leads that our Account Executives can translate into sales.
- Utilize a variety of channels to reach prospects including phone, email, social media, drop ins, marketing events, etc.
- Qualify leads and route to the appropriate team member based on territory and segmentation.
- Conduct research on potential customers and identify key decision-makers within the organization.
- Keep all information, relating to inbound and outbound calls, pipeline activity and movement up-to-date at all times in our CRM..
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and refine the lead generation strategy.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings and training sessions to continually improve skills and knowledge.
- Ensure knowledge of Xero features and functionality is kept up to date via Xero training and update webinars.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly quotas.
Success looks like
- High productivity levels, regularly achieving and exceeding monthly and quarterly quotas, demonstrating effectiveness in driving sales growth and contributing to team success.
- Able to articulate the value of Xero in a variety of contexts based on the partner's needs.
- Weekly KPI measurements, such as meetings, calls, emails, events and online engagements.
- Up to date records of all prospecting activities in CRM enabling better tracking and analysis efforts.
- Successfully converted accounting and bookkeeping partners to Xero's solutions and handover to the appropriate team member.
What you’ll bring with you
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Prior experience in a SaaS company or entry-level sales position preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with CRM systems - Salesforce
- Demonstrated experience in generating business leads through multiple channels, such as cold calling.
- Proven ability to develop targeted strategies for each channel, effectively reach potential customers, and drive interest in products or services.
- Strong analytical skills to assess channel performance and optimize approaches for maximum lead generation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology and software.
- Collaborative with internal and external stakeholders, working as a team.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work autonomously.
- Detailed-oriented with strong organization skills.
