How you’ll make an impact

In this role, you will lead Xero’s efforts to sustainably grow the US market, which is a key market for Xero.  You’ll provide strategic, commercial, and technical leadership across all the teams at Xero needed to drive sustainable growth for the US business.  You’ll ensure teams’ alignment with overall Xero strategy and customer requirements, drive the execution of key projects, own communication with stakeholders around the globe, and build empathy for, and understanding of your users.  You will also mentor and manage other PMs to ensure the right things are built at the right time at a high level of product quality.

What you’ll do

    • Develop and maintain an evergreen product strategy and roadmap for your area
    • In collaboration with design and engineering teams, build beautiful, innovative products that delight customers and help Xero achieve its business objectives 
    • Work with other product teams and other teams within Xero to create a framework of quantitative metrics that demonstrate the success or otherwise of product evolution and product marketing
    • Be accountable for the commercial success of the capabilities you create in the products you are responsible for
    • Define, own and communicate the product roadmap and prioritization (including development of business cases) to best determine how to service new customer acquisition, retention and conversion
    • Build and lead effective teams of product managers, developers, designers, and analysts that continually improve and deliver value to our customers
    • Contribute to the improvement of Xeroʼs product leadership capability

What you’ll bring with you

    • Minimum qualifications :
    • 12 years of experience in product management, co-founder, or related technical role
    • 5 years of experience building and shipping technical products.
    • Experience creating product roadmap(s) from conception to launch, driving the product vision, defining the GTM strategy, and leading design discussions

    • Preferred qualifications:
    • 5 years of people management experience with direct reports.
    • Experience managing day-to-day product, technical, and design direction for large scale systems.
    • Experience in one or more of the following: SaaS, Cloud, enterprise, consumer, or similar space.
    • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance or Marketing
    • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders, achieve strategic goals and evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends."
