As a Senior IT Cloud Systems Engineer within Xero's Enterprise Platforms team, you will be central in
supporting Xero’s Productivity and Collaboration tools with a forward-thinking approach that
embraces AI. You will be a systems expert, providing crucial guidance and incident response across our
cloud and internal systems.

Collaborating closely with Architecture, Workplace Experience, Security
Teams and 3rd party vendors, you'll drive new projects and ensure scalable growth, while also
championing the adoption of AI-powered solutions.

You will:

    • Manage and optimise Xero’s Productivity and Collaboration tools (think Google Workspace,Slack, Zoom, Miro and more)
    • Identify and implement AI-powered solutions to enhance productivity systems, creating automations and workflows that transform how Xeros work
    • Develop custom tools and automations to solve complex business problems
    • Plan, adapt and secure cloud and internal systems to meet the ever-changing business and security requirements
    • Troubleshoot technical issues acting as the escalation point for difficult problems
    • Assist with onboarding of new cloud and internal systems and initiatives
    • Develop and document policies and procedures for consistent systems management, methodologies, and standards.
    • Mentor and coach junior team members on best practices in design, implementation, and governance
    • Give input and direction into project work when required.

What you will bring with you

    • Extensive experience managing Productivity and Collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom)
    • Experience as a high-level System Administrator , managing and supporting a variety of SaaS platforms
    • Experience with automation tools and workflows
    • Understand and apply security best practices for cloud-based productivity systems
    • Strong communication skills, the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
    • Experience with delivering projects and
    • effective time management
