The Group Product Manager will be in charge of a product portfolio within the Payroll division and play a key role in delivering on Xero strategic objectives. This is a strategically aligned, high-impact role, and we're looking for someone who has experience at the Group Product Manager level or above, and is ready for their next challenge.
Responsibilities:
- Drive product strategy and a cohesive narrative for your product area
- Lead a team of talented product managers and senior product managers to develop and execute the feature and platform product roadmap
- You will coach team members and elevate product management capability in your team and the wider division
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and product marketing to bring new products to market.
- Deeply understand your customers, and drive shared understanding of target segments across your team and stakeholders
- Be an effective spokesperson for the product, communicating effectively with executives and other stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in relevant industry and technology.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive product adoption and growth.
The successful applicant will have:
- 8+ years of experience in product management.
- 2+ years of people leadership experience, with a proven ability to lead and motivate and develop a team of product managers
- Be motivated by diverse problems - from product strategy and growth to foundational technology outcomes
- Be values driven with a strong focus on collaboration and delivering on outcomes
- Love learning new things, be willing to push boundaries and drive new thinking
- A track record of solving complex customer, commercial, and technical problems.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
