Where does the Product Insight Analyst role fit in?
As a Product Insights Analyst you’ll sit within the Product Data Centre of Excellence (COE), you will play a key role, central to embedding a culture of data literacy within Xero’s Product division and across product.  You will also work closely with diverse business domains and users. 

What you’ll do:
You’ll use advanced SQL to source data from our many different databases, and present this data in an informative way using modern analytical tools
You’ll work with very large datasets and gain exposure to modern cloud based data platforms
Be pull insights from raw data to tell data stories through meaningful visualisations
Work closely with other teams across the business such as Operations, Marketing, Sales, Product, Customer experience, Strategy and Finance 
Identify any data quality issues and work with Data Services to resolve them
Use our analytics platforms to create interactive dashboards to present your data and insights back to the business users

What you need to be successful in this role:
You’ll have a mixture of experience with data ideally from commercial setting. This could include:
A high level of comfort when it comes to working with complex and diverse data
Experience working with large datasets- using advanced SQL for data extraction
Hands on experience with Python and R is really important for this role
And of course, you’ll be experienced with delivering analytics in the form of interactive dashboards
You probably have a qualification and/or strong experience in applying statistics, mathematics, analytics to solve problems.
Most importantly, you’ll be able to demonstrate innovative ways to gather and display data and analytics in a meaningful way, to provide insights and add value.
