About the Team
Xero’s ‘Catalyst Engineering’ portfolio is our platform engineering and enablement function, responsible for powering Xero’s engineers and our Partner Ecosystem with the platforms and toolchains to rapidly build innovative, robust and secure products that meet the needs of Xero’s customers.  The team are at the forefront of technology adoption for Xero and include some of the best and brightest technology talent in the locations where we operate.   

About the Role
As Senior Architect for our Partner Ecosystem, you will collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to shape the strategic roadmaps for the technical capabilities of our public APIs and partner integrations to meet the rapidly evolving needs of our partners and customers.    Internal to the team you will bring the leadership, customer obsession and technical savvy to guide the work and negotiate interdependencies across the organisation to bring our products to life.

What you’ll bring with you

    • You’re a Senior Solution Architect with experience in organisations that deliver complex digital products through multi-disciplinary teams.
    • You’ve guided the architecture that powers partner ecosystems and enablement, shaping the API-led platforms and capabilities that extend the reach and functionality of our products through partners  
    • You’re good at translating between high-level business strategy to an actionable platform roadmap
    • You’re familiar with cloud providers and have worked with AWS, GCP or Azure
    • You’re willing to dive into technical detail when it matters, and might have a software engineering background
    • You’re familiar with domain-driven design and its application in synchronous and asynchronous integration of complex data driven, customer-facing systems.
    • You’ve worked in fast-moving agile environments
    • You understand the information security, risk management, data privacy and compliance considerations in the software development lifecycle
    • You have great listening, problem-solving, negotiation, communication and coaching skills
    • Most importantly, you have a desire to learn and grow yourself and others around you.
