As a Senior Project Manager you'll be empowered to lead complex initiatives that underpin Xero's strategic objectives, navigate ambiguity, and drive impactful outcomes for Xero's most important work. You'll partner closely with cross-functional teams, such as Product, Go-To-Market and People providing expert guidance and operational excellence to ensure execution is seamless and accelerate the achievement of company OKRs. You'll foster a culture of collaboration and accountability, championing best practices and continuously seeking opportunities to optimize our processes and propel Xero forward.
What you'll do
- Lead, plan, and execute cross-functional initiatives: Define scope, build delivery roadmaps, and create execution artefacts to drive projects from initiation to successful completion.
- Partner closely with stakeholders across the organization: Collaborate with product, technology, sales, operations and other teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery of priority work.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks: Develop and execute risk management plans to anticipate and address potential roadblocks.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision making: Track key metrics, analyze performance, and provide insights to inform project strategy and optimize outcomes.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization: Clearly articulate project updates and recommendations to diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Contribute to the growth of the P3 team: Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our team's capabilities.
What you'll bring with you
- 6+ years in project management at a fast-paced technology / SaaS company or management consultancy (Payments industry experience highly desirable).
- Delivered impactful projects that achieved key business objectives and contributed to organizational success.
- Built strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment across teams.
- Worked with senior stakeholders and influenced strategic decision-making.
- Leveraged project management expertise and familiarity with business tools.
- Supported the development and execution of business operational plans.
- Contributed to the achievement of commercial targets through project management.
- Understanding of key operational metrics and their relationship to project delivery.
