About the Team

You'll manage a team of Partner Consultants, who play a key role in the pre and post sales process by helping our sales teams engage deeply with Accounting and Bookkeeping firms.  The Partner Consultant team are a key part of supporting Xero’s partners as they adopt and use Xero's platform on their cloud journey.  The Partner Consultants you'll manage have technical expertise, people skills and an uncanny ability to communicate technical advice in a simple way. As part of our Partner Sales team you'll collaborate closely with your manager, the Director of Partner Services, as well as other leaders in Canada like the Head of Sales, Regional Sales Directors and Territory Managers.

About the Role

As the Partner Consultant Manager you will coach and mentor a team of Partner Consultants who are helping accountants and bookkeepers using Xero to become Xero experts and carry out their cloud strategy. You'll be a great people leader who promotes the development and growth of Partner Consultants. You also will provide guidance and support on how to effectively project manage Xero implementations and migration projects.

Leading the Xero Partner Consultants, you will collaborate with your leader, the Director of Partner Services, to manage and implement the team strategy.  You will also work closely with the Regional Sales Director to formulate strategies and ensure Partner Consultants are aligned with the sales strategy.  You will also review and implement technologies, tools, systems and processes to enable external and internal stakeholders to be as efficient as possible.  You’ll make an impact as you establish relationships and work collaboratively with cross functional teams such as Product, Education, Marketing and Sales, providing advice, guidance and support.

What You'll Bring With You

    • Management and leadership experience (5+ team members)
    • Accounting knowledge and practical experience in the operational activities of an accounting and/or bookkeeping firm
    • Prior Xero or SaaS Consultant experience, knowledge of the Xero Platform and it’s practice tools is a plus
    • Experience with implementation, customer success, and/or project management
    • Proven problem solving experience in a consultative selling organization
