How you’ll make an impact

Working as part of the Business Operations & Strategy executive leadership team, the Executive GM - Enterprise Technology will manage the vision and strategy for Xero enterprise platforms.

You will be responsible for multiple business functions including;

Go-to-market Systems - covers Xero’s go to market (GTM) and Customer Success solutions. These solutions are Xero’s primary customer facing systems servicing core marketing, sales, success and billing / revenue management, and as such are critical to driving Xero’s ongoing scale. These solutions enable, drive and measure our key scale and performance metrics.

People & Finance Systems - covers Xero’s technology solutions. These solutions are Xero’s internal facing systems servicing people, finance, legal, facilities, productivity, collaboration and core IT services, and as such are critical to ensuring our people can work efficiently and effectively. These solutions will enable, drive and report on our internal technology metrics and engagement.

Internal IT - covers the technology infrastructure and services within Xero. This includes the maintenance of hardware and software, providing user support from onboarding through to exit, ensuring seamless connectivity, and delivering technology solutions focused on enabling a productive and secure environment that supports Xero’s growth and objectives.

What you'll do

Strategic Leadership - define and lead strategies for the functions under your business unit to ensure these meet regional and global needs and maintain Xero as a market leading service offering.
People Leadership - coach and lead a team of global GM’s/Head's of to be a high performing and highly engaged cohesive senior leadership team.
Board Engagement - communicating with the Board on progress towards strategic goals and objectives. 
Strategic Partnerships - develop strategic partnerships, both internally with key stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, People, Finance and Product), and external service providers as appropriate.
Commercial - executive responsibility for managing the 30+ vendors and partners, defining our commercial terms and managing Xero’s costs to deliver these services. 
Xero Evangelism - senior ambassador and champion for Xero. 
Operational Excellence - ensure your leadership team delivers against financial, people and data integrity objectives.
Product Development - executive level leadership across the teams in your business unit, with work plans prioritised and programs to ensure the business units realises their vision and objectives.

What you'll bring

Experience
• Previous experience at an Executive or senior GM level within SaaS or software development environment.
• Experience with coaching and managing a number of GM level people across different disciplines.
• Experience in setting and executing on global strategy.
• Budget and financial management.
• Previous experience outside of a technology role in strategy, Sales or Customer Service, with a deep understanding of business process.

• Strong people leadership and management skills at a global level
• Systems thinking and can put solutions in place at scale
