How you’ll make an impact 

As part of our growth journey, TaxCycle is looking for a new colleague to join our sales team as a Partner Development Representative (PDR), who will help us grow our customer base and contribute to achieving TaxCyle’s revenue goals. This is a key role in our sales team at TaxCycle. You will be the first point of contact for accounting firms signing up for a TaxCycle trial. You’ll be a passionate advocate for TaxCycle, inspiring others, cultivating relationships, and driving engagement with our brand. You will have an opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of the sales cycle, working cross functionally with sales & marketing to improve lead quality, collaborating on best practices and honing your sales craft. 

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential customers, and assessing their relevance to TaxCycle. Your primary objective will be to qualify leads, identify potential customer needs and pass them on to our Business Development team, who will take over the sales process.

Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Proactively identifying and contacting relevant prospects through various channels, such as phone calls, email, social media, etc.
    • Arranging meetings between potential customers and our Business Development team. 
    • Collaborating with your colleagues to reach collective team goals.
    • Meeting individual targets based on booked meetings and daily activities, while fostering strong relationships with potential clients.

What you’ll do

    • Respond to all inbound inquiries (online via TaxCycle.com, phone, email and referrals)
    • Qualifying leads that come into TaxCycle.
    • Proactively generating leads through the use of, but not limited to, proactive outbound call activity, emails, meetings, marketing campaigns, the use of tools such as LinkedIn and attending events.
    • Driving attendance for TaxCycle Sales led events, ensuring rapid follow up
    • Updating CRM system with all client communications including calls and emails
    • Provide phone and email based engagement with partners to handle day-to-day communication, responding in a timely manner. 
    • Develop best practices processes to support repeatable activities.
    • Build relationships through a mixture of cold calling, personalized emailing and social networks to connect with key prospective customers with a target of scheduling deeper discovery calls for the sales team
    • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase prospective customer interest in TaxCycle
    • Enhance your resiliency skills to anticipate, prepare, and overcome objections in sales communications 
    • Work alongside internal teams to strategize and prospect 
    • Track and maintain data integrity in Hubspot
    • Report weekly to your direct manager on challenges, successes and progress against your targets
    • Achieve monthly/quarterly targets of qualified sales leadsCollaborate with the marketing team to support lead-gen follow-up, tracking and feedback loop

    • You have a passion to help businesses improve with technology
    • Highly organized, able to manage time effectively, and work independently
    • Results-driven and able to work through rejection
    • Strong communication skills both oral and written

What You’ll Bring With You

    • You have previous sales experience prospecting or cold-calling (1-2 years) 
    • An interest in accounting, bookkeeping or tax is an asset
    • Have the technical aptitude for working with Hubspot and other sales tools
    • Bilingual (English/French) is a plus 
    • Ability to quickly build rapport with people via phone and online meetings
    • Detail-oriented and process driven
    • Previous experience managing customers and a pipeline of leads
    • Capability to instill excitement and enthusiasm in others, encouraging them to embrace our brand and become advocates themselves
    • Self starter who likes to take initiative; enjoys working with a high level of activity.
    • Experience with Hubspot or Salesforce

    • Successfully recruiting and qualifying new potential customers to TaxCycle.
    • Supporting Xero sales staff by ensuring that data quality is obtained so that sales opportunities can be quickly identified and customer satisfaction is increased.
