Based in Durham, North Carolina, Xilis, Inc. is a biotechnology company developing a precision oncology
platform that guides treatment decisions for oncologists to improve cancer care outcomes for patients
and supports drug discovery and development for pharmaceutical companies. Xilis’ proprietary
MicroOrganoSpheres (MOS) are miniature patient tumors that capture the full microenvironment and
heterogeneity and provide an automated and scalable solution. Using MOS and AI-driven algorithms,
Xilis is developing a Xilis Response Score™ for the clinic, enabling oncologists to make informed and
timely treatment decisions. Additionally, the MOS technology is speeding up the development and clinical
trials of cancer drugs by enabling the analysis of authentic tumor microenvironments, high-throughput
preclinical modeling, and clinical patient selection capabilities.

Xilis is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to fill a new position that will be a key member of the Upstream
Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to apply skills and experience in a rapidly growing

individual that will be instrumental in establishing supply chain processes and policies to effectively
manage a business that will continue to experience hyper-growth, add new locations domestically and
internationally and achieve cGMP compliance.

    • Manage, lead and promote the development of Supply Chain Team staff.
    • Deliver exceptional service and communication to Xilis strategic partners, commercial customers, and internal team members.
    • Set the supply strategy that delivers high levels of service, ensures the continuity of supply, and results in the delivery of Xilis's strategic goals.
    • Create, implement and manage team and project-specific stocking plans to enable science teams to have uninterrupted operations.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs to support Research and Development and Commercial operations
    • Participate as a key member of the technology deployment team and be the Supply Chain lead in implementing the supply chain, procurement and inventory management functions of NetSuite. Use the systems implementation projects to build best-in-class processes that will scale with growth and are appropriately phased to deliver regulatory compliance.
    • Partner with Quality to establish cGMP compliance in Supply Chain Operations.
    • Own relationships for assigned capital equipment suppliers, negotiate in capital equipment purchases and ensure contract terms are adhered to when equipment is delivered/installed.
    • Build relationships with suppliers that leads to high service levels, favorable pricing and market/industry insights to mitigate supply disruption.
    • Collaborate with finance partner to ensure GAAP compliance, improve month-end processes and fully utilize capabilities of ERP (NetSuite) system to deliver financial compliance
    • Develop processes to forecast demand in the research and development environments and for commercial diagnostic service.
    • Other duties as assigned such as participating in planning and executing the move to Xilis's new global headquarters located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.


    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, MBA is a plus
    • Eight years of experience in supply chain-related functions with broad knowledge of supply chain functions (procurement, demand planning, warehousing and distribution, shipping and receiving, etc.)
    • Three to five years' experience being a key user of ERP systems (NetSuite ERP preferred)
    • Ability to make operational and business decisions with minimum direction from immediate manager. Must have knowledge and skill in personnel management and developing and managing a financial budget.
    • Process-oriented individual that is successful at implementing processes and policies across the organization that are sustainable and will scale with the business
    • Solid understanding of Planning and Purchasing methodologies (forecasts, safety stocks, replenishment strategies, inventory optimization, lead time reduction, Kanban, etc.)
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel
    • ASCM/ISM certification(s) a plus
    • Self-starter, can manage hyper-growth and stand up processes and systems from scratch.
    • Ability to interact and establish confidence with internal/external customers.
    • Manage assigned projects, work cross-functionally to identify changes and required resources to obtain objectives.
